Airport Taxis

Taxis are located outside the terminal. There is a EUR1.65 airport supplement, and the average fares are as follows: La Laguna EUR10, Santa Cruz EUR16, and Puerto de la Cruz EUR29.10.

Car Parking

There is a multi-storey car park located opposite the terminal building. Short-term parking is free up to 30 minutes, and the maximum daily rate is EUR10.60.

Avis, Europcar, Autos Reisen, Cicar-Atesa and Hertz operate car hire facilities at Tenerife North Airport.

There is regular bus service to a number of local destinations from the airport.

The terminal contains currency exchange facilities, duty-free shopping, several restaurants, banks, VIP lounges, and a first aid station.

Language

Spanish is the official language, but English is widely understood in areas frequented by tourists. Catalan, Galician and Basque are spoken in the relevant areas.

Money

Spain's official currency is the Euro (EUR). One Euro is divided into 100 cents. Money can be exchanged at bureaux de change and major hotels, but banks give the best rates. All major credit cards and travellers cheques are widely accepted at most hotels, restaurants, and shops. ATMs are widespread and are generally the cheapest and most convenient method of obtaining money.
