MS Brilliance of the Seas


Brilliance of the Seas offers a lively cruise experience in a wide range of bright and cheerful public rooms including the Viking Crown lounge high amidships. Half the external structure is glass. It features a nine deck high atrium with glass lifts.  Brilliance of the Seas passengers tend to be All ages and Mostly American but more Brits/Europeans in Europe. When all cabins have double occupancy, the ship provides a space ratio of 41.2 tons per passenger and a crew to passenger ratio of one for every 2.5 passengers. At full capacity the space ratio is 26.8 tons per passenger and the crew ratio is one to 3.9 passengers.



Cabins are a reasonable size with convertible beds to queen size, vanity desk, safe, with floor tiled bathrooms and small storage space for toiletries. Larger suites offer king size beds and access to a concierge lounge.


Fitness and Leisure

There is plenty of deck space and 3 pools, one with magradome and one with a waterslide. Activities including 2 deck gym, miniature golf & putting green, rock climbing, outside jogging track, basketball court and pool table.



The two level Cascades dining room has a sweeping staircase and offers reasonable food with attentive, friendly, sometimes hurried service. Alternatives are available in the Windjammer (buffets), Portofino (Italian), Chops Grill and Seaview Café.



The comfortable Pacifica Theatre is on three levels and entertainment is well presented and varied with a second cabaret lounge, a champagne bar and conference/business centre with internet.


Dress Code

Casual and comfortable during the day. In the evening dress is smart casual (shirt and trousers for gentlemen and casual elegance for ladies). Formal evenings require a suit or dinner jacket for men and a cocktail dress for ladies.



Allow £8 (US$12) per passenger (including children) per day for cabin and restaurant staff -15% will automatically be added on all drinks.


Disabled Access

Wheelchair access is good. Wheelchair cabins have larger access doors and the ship has ramped areas and sloping decks.



The rating for children is Very Good. The ship provides many activities including a children's club and interests for 3-17 year olds such as a video arcade, scavenger hunt and sports competitions.
