MS Liberty of the seas



Liberty of the Seas is a stunning floating resort and one of the largest cruise ship afloat. It has 2 lobbies up to 11 decks high, a surf-rider, an ice-skating rink, rock-climbing wall and Royal Promenade 4 decks high.  Liberty of the Seas passengers tend to be All ages and Mostly American but more Brits/Europeans in Europe.


When all cabins have double occupancy, the ship provides a space ratio of 44 tons per passenger and a crew to passenger ratio of one for every 2.6 passengers. At full capacity the space ratio is 32.7 tons per passenger and the crew ratio is one to 3.5 passengers.



Cabins are a good size with adequate storage space and compact bathrooms. They are well equipped with safes, minibar, vanity unit, pay movies. Twin beds convert to queen size. 170 inside cabins have windows overlooking the Royal Promenade.


Fitness and Leisure 

There is an ice skating rink in the Studio B lounge, jogging track, rock climbing wall, basketball/volleyball court, 3 pools one with water slide, an incredible surf-rider, inline skating, ice skating, nine hole golf, health spa and aerobics.



The main dining room, split into three decks connected by a sweeping staircase offers reasonable food with attentive, friendly, sometimes hurried service. Alternatives are the self service Windjammer , Jade & Portofino Restaurant and Chops Grille.



The five deck Theatre features Broadway style productions and comedy, with dancing, music and cabaret in the Pharoah's Palace. There is also a TV studio, champagne bar, piano bar, jazz bar, conference centre and the Viking Crown Lounge. 


Dress Code

Casual and comfortable during the day. In the evening dress is smart casual (shirt and trousers for gentlemen and casual elegance for ladies). Formal evenings require a suit or dinner jacket for men and a cocktail dress for ladies.



Allow £8 (US$12) per passenger (including children) per day for cabin and restaurant staff -15% will automatically be added on all drinks.


Disabled Access

Wheelchair access is very good. Wheelchair cabins have larger access doors and the ship has ramped areas and sloping decks.



The rating for children is Very Good. The ship provides many activities including a children's club and interests for 3-17 year olds such as a video arcade, scavenger hunt and sports competitions.
