Reethi Rah

Reethi Rah is a secluded, pristine island that is perfect for holiday relaxation. Thatched bungalows nestle among the palm trees and comfortable water bungalows stretch sleepily over the lagoon at Reethi Rah, a luxury resort island that offers exclusivity and style as part of the One&Only resort group. The island is situated on one of the largest islands of the North Malé Atoll, a 50-minute boat ride from the airport. The resort offers watersports including scuba diving, snorkelling and sailing; as well as land-based recreation like tennis, billiards, beach volleyball, bicycling and carom. The world-class spa offers a range of massage, relaxation, and beauty treatments. Reethi Rah is child-friendly, and has special programmes designed to keep kids and preteens entertained.

Information & Facts

Language

Dhivehi is the national language in Maldives. English is widely spoken in addition to German, French, Italian and Japanese, spoken by the resort staff.

Money

The Maldivian Rufiya (MVR) is divided into 100 laari. The resorts in Maldives are generally expensive and travellers should ensure they bring sufficient funds. There are no cash machines and travellers' cheques are rarely used, but there are currency exchange facilities available at resorts and banks. Major credit cards are accepted at most resorts and hotels. US Dollars can be exchanged at the airport, banks or hotels. Guests staying at resorts can settle their accounts in hard foreign currency (US Dollars are best), credit cards or travellers cheques. Banks are usually closed on Fridays and Saturdays.
