Wallblake House

This plantation home was built around 1787 by Will Blake and is one of the last remaining plantation houses in the whole of the Caribbean that is still completely intact. Visitors to the Wallblake House will be able to look through the various rooms, kitchen, slaves quarters and stable at the interesting and informative exhibition that illustrates the history of Anguilla. These days, the Wallblake House Trust is continually restoring the plantation in order to preserve it as a cultural, social and educational centre for the island. It is now owned by the Catholic Church and is used as a rectory where the parish priest lives.
