There is short and long-term parking available on both the French and Swiss sides of the airport, as well as passenger drop-off areas. Airport restaurants may validate for free parking.

Hertz, Avis, Europcar, National, and Sixt operate car hire facilities at Basel Airport.

There is regular bus service from the airport to a number of local towns, including Basel, Strasbourg, Saint Louis, Mulhouse, Colmar and Freiburg. There is no direct rail service to the airport, but there are train stations in Basel.

The Euro (EUR) is the official currency in France. Currency can be exchanged at banks, bureaux de change and some large hotels, though you will get a better exchange rate at the ATMs. Major credit cards are widely accepted, as are travellers cheques, particularly in major tourist destinations. Foreign currency is not accepted.
