TOURNAMENT ESSENTIALS

Rugby World Cup France 2023 will be a celebration of rugby and France and will showcase the sport at its finest. The match cities, located throughout France, will reveal to the traveller the essence of this beautiful country. The tournament will run from 8 September – 28 October, 2023, when the victorious team will be crowned champions and receive the Webb Ellis Cup. Let us hope that Ireland will be competing for this ultimate accolade that night in Paris !

The tournament will consist of a pool phase, followed by a knockout phase, i.e. quarter-final, semi-final, etc. The pool phase consists of four pools, each containing five countries. Ireland has been drawn in Pool B, alongside the current world champions, South Africa and Scotland. Each team will play the other four countries in it’s pool between 8 September - 8 October.
