Day 1 Flight to New York
Travel to New York. Arrive early afternoon. You will be met on arrival and transferred by coach to your city centre hotel. Evening at leisure. Discover the city that never sleeps. New York city - you’ll love it.
Day 2 NEW YORK
Enjoy a city tour of Manhattan’s attractions this morning. Included are famous sights such as Times Square, the Theatre district, the Metropolitan Opera, Central Park and Museum Mile with the Guggenheim and Metropolitan Museum of Art. Pass St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Rockefeller Centre and the Empire State Building. The afternoon is at leisure.
Day 3 NEW YORK – BOSTON
Travel to Boston. An early afternoon arrival at the historic Quincy Market, will be followed by a sightseeing tour. Tour along the Freedom Trail to view the Boston Common, the Granary Burial Grounds, the Old State House and Faneuil Hall. The evening is at leisure.
Day 4 Boston – Quebec
Travel through the New England states of New Hampshire and Vermont on your way to Canada. Pass small villages and drive through the picturesque White Mountains. In the late afternoon, cross the U.S./ Canadian border to enter the province of Quebec, evening at leisure in Quebec.
Day 5 QUEBEC – MONTREAL
Begin the day with a tour of Quebec City to view the Quebec Provincial Parliament Building, the Citadelle. Enjoy a walking tour of the walled city. In the afternoon, continue along the St. Lawrence River to the beautiful city of Montreal. Take a walking tour of the Vieux Port including Notre Dame Basilica. The evening is at leisure.
Day 6 MONTREAL – OTTAWA – TORONTO
Depart Montreal for the capital of Canada, Ottawa. This vibrant city of parks and flowers boasts one of the most impressive parliament buildings in the world. You may choose to view the city from the observation balcony. In the afternoon, continue along the Thousand Islands Parkway to the modern city of Toronto, located on the shore of Lake Ontario.
Day 7 TORONTO – NIAGARA FALLS
Begin the day with a drive along Lake Ontario crossing the Welland Canal before arriving at Niagara Falls. Stroll along Table Rock and view the thundering water of the Horseshoe Falls. Enjoy time at leisure.
Day 8 NIAGARA FALLS – GETTYSBURG – AMISH COUNTRY
Today ride through the rolling farmland of upstate New York, known as the Finger Lakes Region, and enter the Keystone State of Pennsylvania. Visit the historic Gettysburg Civil War National Battleground. Follow the beautiful Susquehanna River to Harrisburg. The evening is at leisure.
Day 9 AMISH COUNTRY – WASHINGTON D.C.
Travel through rural countryside to the Pennsylvania Dutch Country. Visit an Amish farmhouse. In the afternoon continue to the nation’s capital, Washington D.C. A Washington by Night tour is optional.
Day 10 WASHINGTON D.C.
Enjoy a city tour to include the U.S. Capitol, Supreme Court, Library of Congress, the F.B.I. Building, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, The White House and Arlington National Cemetery. Explore some of the many museums (admissions may apply).
Day 11 WASHINGTON D.C. – NEW YORK
Travel to Philadelphia, the birthplace of the nation, where you will stop to see Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. In the afternoon, cross the Delaware River and return to New York. This evening is at leisure.
Day 12 NEW YORK DEPARTURE
Day free for shopping and sightseeing. Late afternoon, transfer by coach to the airport for the flight home.
