On our city tours, you will visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the Rockefeller Centre, Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty, Ground Zero, Central Park, Fifth Avenue, and many other fabulous sights. There is also plenty of free time to explore New York at your own leisure.

This fully escorted group trip includes a private coach transfer from Killarney and Tralee to Shannon Airport. Itinerary

Thursday, 12 November.

At last, the day has arrived. Your exclusive escorted trip to New York begins with a private coach transfer to Shannon Airport. We will pick you up in Killarney, Tralee, Castleisland and Newcastle West. Our tour escort will be on the coach and will be on-hand for the entire duration of the trip. On arrival in Shannon, we will proceed to the Aer Lingus desk for check-in. You will have some time to relax and have something to eat in the departures lounge of the airport before we set off for The Big Apple. Our Aer Lingus flight departs at 12.50 and arrives into JFK at 15.20. We will make our way through JFK and on to our private coach that will take us to our hotel in Manhattan. If you have never been to New York before, prepare for the awe-inspiring first view of the New York skyline. On arrival in our hotel, The Wyndham New Yorker, our tour escort will assist with check-in. Our guide will be on-hand to take an evening stroll in the local neighbourhood and find a restaurant for dinner.

Friday, 13 November.

As is normal with New York hotels, breakfast is not included. There are numerous cafes and restaurants close to the hotel to choose from. After breakfast, we will embark on the first of our trips that will showcase this amazing city. We commence with a short stroll through Times Square and over to the Rockefeller Centre, 5th Avenue and St. Patricks Cathedral. From there, we hop on our private coach and we are taken to Central Park and down Fifth Avenue, passing a multitude of famous sights, including Broadway, the Metropolitan Opera, Columbus Circle, The Guggenheim and the Empire State Building. We take time to reflect at the 9/11 Memorial before we return to our hotel. The afternoon is at leisure.

Saturday 14 November.

Today is a free day to explore New York at your leisure. Your tour leader is available to offer recommendations to get the most out of your time in this amazing city. For shopaholics, New York is the ultimate destination. You can choose from big-name brand boutiques to shopping malls and discount stores.

Sunday, 15 November.

After breakfast, we set off for a half-day trip to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. After an arduous sea-crossing, The Statue of Liberty was a welcome sight for the hundreds of thousands of Irish that emigrated to the United States. They were processed in the Ellis Island immigration centre before they embarked on their new life. Find the name of your relatives in the lists and catalogues of the centre. Return to the hotel in the afternoon and the rest of the day is at leisure.

Monday, 16 November.

Today is a free day to explore New York at your leisure. Why not stroll through Central Park and visit one of the many famous galleries or museums close-by. In the evening, catch a show on Broadway and marvel at Times Square at night, with its world-famous neon lights and billboards.

Tuesday, 17 November.

The morning is free for last minute shopping and sightseeing. In the afternoon, we will depart from the hotel to JFK for our Aer Lingus flight home. Your tour leader will travel with you at all times. Our Aer Lingus flight departs JFK at 18.10 and we arrive back into Shannon at 05.40

Wednesday, 18 November.

We arrive back into Shannon at 05.40. After we collect our luggage, our private coach transfer will set off back to Kerry.
