The airport is three miles (5km) from Doha.

Airport Taxis
Orange and white metered taxis are available outside the
airport, charging about QR50 to the city centre.
Car Parking
There are short and long-term parking bays available outside the
departures and arrivals halls.
Car Rental
Avis, Thrifty, Budget, Sixt, Europcar and Hertz car rental
companies have desks in the arrivals hall.
City Transfers
A limousine service is available from the airport with rates
from QR30 to QR75 for anywhere in Doha. Most of the larger city
hotels provide a courtesy shuttle service for guests to and from
the airport. Taxis to the city centre cost QR5 and bus routes 49
and 94 run via the airport, a bus to the city centre costs QR2.
Rental cars are available at the kiosks as you exit customs.

Departure Tax
Facilities
Facilities at the airport include ATMs, bureaux de change, a
24-hour post office, wireless Internet access, restaurants, snack
bars, male and female mosques and a duty-free shop. The airport
also has a premium terminal for business and first-class
passengers. The Qatar Airways Oryx Lounge is available to business
and first-class passengers. Economy-class passengers can access
these facilities at a charge of QR140. The Oryx Lounge includes a
business centre, meeting rooms, internet access, wi-fi
accessibility, shower facilities, cloak room, nursery room and food
and beverage shops.
Language
Arabic is the official language, but English is widely
used.
Money
The official currency is the Qatari Riyal (QAR), which divides
into 100 dirhams. The Riyal exchange rate is pegged to the US
Dollar at QR 3.65. Money and travellers cheques can be exchanged at
banks, the airport and exchange dealers. To avoid additional
charges it is best to take travellers cheques in US Dollars or
Pounds Sterling. The main bank branches are on Grand Hamad Street
in Doha. Banks are open Saturday to Thursday 8am to 1pm and some
are open into the evening. ATMs are available on the main streets
of the cities and towns, at banks and in shopping malls and most
shops, hotels and restaurants accept international credit
cards.
Terminal Transfers
There is only one regular passenger terminal at the Doha
International Airport, however there is a Premium Class Terminal
first and business class passengers. The Premium Class Terminal is
a short walk away from the main terminal building.
