Two multi-level garages are located directly in front of the passenger terminals, on either side of the mosque, which are connected to the terminals by walkways.

Car rental counters are located in the lobby and include Avis, Budget and Hertz (women are not allowed to drive on public roads and may not be a passenger with a man who is not immediate family, unless in a taxi).

Prepaid airport taxis are available for transport to the city.

Facilities include restaurants and cafeterias (no bars as alcohol is illegal), banks in Terminal 2 and ATMs in Terminals 2 and 3, first aid clinics, a post office, various shopping opportunities, and visitor information. A mosque is located in the centre of the passenger terminal. Facilities for the disabled are good.

Arabic is the official language in Saudi Arabia, but English is widely understood.

The Saudi currency is the Riyal (SAR), divided into 100 halala. Foreign currency can be changed at banks and exchange bureaux. Banking hours are generally Saturday to Wednesday from 8am to 12pm and 4pm to 8pm. All major credit cards are accepted at shops, hotels and restaurants in Saudi Arabia. Travellers cheques are also accepted and ATMs are widely available. There are no taxes in Saudi Arabia, so shopping is good value.

The terminals are linked by moving walkways.
